CAKE CARE
All cakes come on a cake board and are hand packaged in a brown cardboard box or white cake box depending on cake height. In most cases the box lid wont close due to the copious amounts of delicious or beautiful treats piled tall but this will be secured in place so it does not collapse and damage your cake. If you do want put your cake in a cake box and give as gift please Fees may apply.
During transportation, please keep cake flat! Either on the passenger's lap or the floor of the car works great. If this is a larger space, place either a towel or jumper around the base of the box to keep it from sliding around the floor. I would highly suggest keeping the air con on cold whilst the cake is in the car.
Keep the cake cool and refrigerated before your event where possible as the cakes are made of buttercream and can be very delicate. Do not leave in direct sunlight or heat. Remove the cake from the fridge 1-2 hours priors to eating or just before putting on display. If storing overnight in the fridge, wrap 2 layers cling film around the box to keep odors from the fridge away from the cake.
Cakes that are styled with flowers are best eaten within 24 hours from collection as they can wilt being out of water and if they get too hot. If you would like to collect your cake more than a day in advance and are having flowers, talk to the team about arranging with them for the flowers to be kept in water and placed on by yourself with guidance the day of your event
Once cakes have been cut any left overs should be cling wrapped and/or placed in an airtight container and cut as you need/want.
